We all have shit going on

We all have wounds and scars. We all have some sort of trauma. We all have our own shit going on. No one is exempt. Some get very good at ignoring their wound or  their scars though. Unfortunately society has made us believe that if we are vulnerable and show our scars that somehow that makes us less of a human, weak and imperfect. So we walk through life believing that we are the only one with shit going on. That we are the only one with wounds and scars and they make us imperfect. Yet it’s quite the opposite. They are what make us whole. There is no light without dark. There is no beauty without imperfections. It’s those scars that make us real. That make us whole.

Those wounds that have never healed, CAN be healed. When you sit with the discomfort and breathe into the emotion it slowly starts to shift. Maybe not instantly. But it WILL start to heal. So I invite you to have alone time, sit with the discomfort, journal about it, breathe into it and little by little it will heal into a beautiful scar. When you take ownership of your wound, you take your power back. Then you can rewrite the story of that scar and see the gift that it was. Then for goodness sake, don’t hide it away. It’s apart of you now. So embrace it. Not only are you accepting all parts of you, who are you inspiring others to step into their truth, heal their own wounds and show their scars.

Love,

Evie x
